Privacy Policy

This page describes how Ricardo Vega Photography ("we," "us," "Ricardo") handles your information when you visit this website and use its features.

1. Information you give us

When you fill out an inquiry form or contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), event type, and event date. We use this to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, to coordinate your photography session.

When you book a studio session we collect your name, email address, and phone number (optional) to create your booking. Payment is processed directly by Stripe — we do not receive or store your card number.

2. Information collected automatically

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

If Google Analytics is configured for this site, it collects anonymized data about how visitors use the site — pages viewed, time on page, general geographic region — using cookies. IP addresses are anonymized before storage. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Attribution storage (this site only)

When you arrive from a link with UTM parameters (e.g., from an ad or a referral), this site stores those parameters in your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage to understand which source drove your inquiry. This data stays in your browser — it is never sent to a third party independently. It is included with your inquiry submission so Ricardo knows where clients come from.

Meta (Facebook) Pixel

Meta Pixel is not currently active on this site. If it is enabled in the future, this page will be updated before activation to describe what it collects and how to opt out.

3. Payment processing

Studio session payments are processed by Stripe. Your card data goes directly to Stripe's servers and is never transmitted to or stored on this site. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of your payment data.

4. How we store your inquiry data

Inquiry and booking data submitted through this site is stored in a private database (Supabase, hosted on AWS infrastructure) accessible only to Ricardo. Studio booking records are also stored there. Inquiry data flows into Ricardo's internal CRM (REMI) for follow-up and scheduling.

Retention period: [TO BE CONFIRMED] — we have not yet set a formal retention schedule. If you would like your data removed, contact Ricardo directly.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except as follows:

  • Stripe — processes your payment (see Section 3).
  • Google Analytics — receives anonymized usage data if analytics are configured (see Section 2).
  • Legal requirement — if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting Ricardo directly at the address on the contact page.

7. Cookies

This site uses localStorage and sessionStorage for attribution (see Section 2). Google Analytics may set cookies if enabled. No other cookies are set by this site. You can clear browser storage at any time through your browser settings.

8. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

If data practices change materially, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top.
